We bore the stock injector throat from 45mm to 48mm.
We enlarge the exit bore from 41mm to 44mm.
The two bores are then funnel bored.
The entire bore is then micro-polished.
We then cut a new throttle plate out of 6061 T6 aluminum stock.
Like all throttle plates that seat at an angle it is not round, but elliptical.
The throttle shaft has to be milled to accept the larger throttle plate.
When the exit bore of the injector is enlarged from 41mm to 44mm the O-ring groove is destroyed.
A new O-ring groove is machined to seal the two components.
THE MANIFOLD
THE MANIFOLD
The limiting factor in a Delphi Injection system is the 41mm manifold inlet.
We bore the inlet from 41mm to 44mm and blend the throat.
44mm is the maximum diameter which the inlet can be bored and maintain structural integrity.
The flange spigots are left at the stock bore of 41mm.
We then bead blast the manifold back to an original finish.
