How we optimize mixture-flow for the best possible performance from your OEM carburetor...
1. We bore the throat of the CV to achieve the highest CFM and to help maintain laminar flow.
2. Your idle circuit will be equipped with a hand adjustable idle mixture screw.
3. We port time your transfer circuit to maximize transition speed.
4. Research has developed a midrange fuel curve that produces good power without sacrificing fuel economy. Your carb will be provided with our Six Position Specialty Jet Needle.
5. Total throttle air/fuel ratio is maintained with a special radiused main jet.
6. Air jets are sized to the level of your engine modifications and your elevation related to sea level.
Your carb slide will be re-radiused from a sharp 90 degree edge to a 45 degree blend.
7. Porting of slide vacuum is an option depending on air speeds.
8. Your troublesome plastic fuel inlet is changed to a high flow machined brass component.
9. Fuel inlet (needle and seat) are modified to the level of your fuel flow requirements.
Paramount to our modifications is a 300cfm K&N Air Filter Assembly. We use this large cfm to lower air filter (inlet) velocity. We also recommend the addition of a free flowing tuned exhaust.*
Note: Because jetting is so critical to carburetor performance please state which, if any, aftermarket exhaust system will be used on your bike following Dakota Kid Custom Carb treatment for best possible results.
*Your Keihin CV Rework may not meet the emissions requirements of your state. Please inquire before ordering.
